You Can Ask Google ForAll My Goals  – Cristiano Ronaldo Blast Critics

Cristiano Ronaldo took a swipe at reporters in the wake of Real Madrid’s 3-1 loss to Tottenham in the Champions League, pointing critics towards Google if they need a reminder of his goal tally.

The Portugal captain was on the scoresheet at Spurs romped their way to victory at Wembley, but it mattered little as the Spanish champions were already well beaten at the time of his consolation strike.

Ronaldo has a decent return of eight goals in 12 games so far this season across all competitions, but has struggled to find the net in La Liga, where he has only one.

And the Madrid star didn’t hold back when quizzed by journalists on his apparent problems in front of goal.

“I’m super calm,” Ronaldo began, before sniping: “Today, having a good performance doesn’t count for you. All that counts is goals, goals, goals.

“My stats? I’m not going to talk about them. You go to Google, ‘Cristiano Ronaldo goals’ and there they are. All of them. [Stats] don’t concern me at all.”

Despite winning both La Liga and the Champions League last season, Real Madrid have struggled this term, with domestic losses to Real Betis and Girona – coupled with draws against Levante and Valencia – seeing Los Blancos slip to third in the Spanish top flight.

Up next is Las Palmas, who currently reside in 18th place, at the Santiago Bernabeu, where Zinedine Zidane’s men will look to return to winning ways with all three points.
